Symptoms of CRPS in Children

Symptoms of CRPS in Children

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, or CRPS, is a condition that changes lives, but not for the better.  I recently found a detailed video which can serve as a resource for those with CRPS (also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy or RSD).  The bulk of this information deals with the treatment of symptoms of CRPS in children.

While I work primarily with workers’ compensation claims, I also handle personal injury cases.  Over the years, I’ve handled multiple cases of CRPS/RSD.  I understand how traumatic this condition is.

As a parent, I can’t imagine having to help one of my children to cope with CRPS.  For this reason, I wanted to provide a link to this video resource.  You might want to review the footage to see if it would be age-appropriate for your child.  It might also help him/her to realize that they’re not alone in this struggle.  The segment about symptoms of CRPS in children begins at the 6:13 minute point in this video.

Again, a great deal of my practice is focused on Kentucky workers’ compensation claims and benefits.  CRPS (RSD) can result from injuries sustained on the job.  However, injuries can also happen at home.  While those wouldn’t necessarily qualify for workers’ comp benefits, it still a medical condition that often leaves people searching for information and potential relief.

I don’t have a relationship with these doctors or their organizations.  My hope is that it’ll provide answers to some of your questions about RSD and specifically, symptoms of CRPS in children.

Please feel free to share this information with your friends and family via your social media properties.  Dealing with CRPS is difficult.  This video may help someone to cope and to move forward.
